Kaleidos Fiamma & Rubino Lip Clays Reviews & Swatches

Kaleidos Fiamma Cloud Lab Lip Clay ($12.00 for 0.08 oz.) is a neon red with neutral-to-cool undertones and a matte finish. It had semi-opaque, buildable pigmentation paired with a smooth, lightweight texture that was more like a whipped mousse, as it glided on comfortably but was thin (though not clingy!). The color lasted well for five hours, left a faint stain behind, and felt non-drying while worn.

Formula Overview

$12.00/0.08 oz. – $150.00 Per Ounce

The formula is supposed to have a “cream-to-powder texture” that is “kiss-proof once set” with a “silky and weightless” feel on the lips. The brand didn’t specifically make any claims about pigmentation in their description, but the promotional swatches included at the point of purchase show fully opaque coverage across the board.

They have a very lightweight, mousse-like texture that was very lightweight, velvety, and smooth with good spreadability. The applicator held a good amount of product without being too generous, as I did not feel like I had to wipe off excess. They took a few minutes to dry down, and the dry down time varied a little between some shades. They were forgiving of most lip texture and weren’t too prone to emphasizing lip lines or settling into them.

Most shades had opaque color coverage in one layer of product. With deeper shades, two layers tended to be better for full, even coverage, despite the shades themselves being quite pigmented in a single layer, but they were more prone to spreading and diffusing unevenly. The shades tended to dry down within 15 minutes with some doing so within five minutes to a more transfer-resistant finish.

The formula wore between four and eight hours on me with deeper, reddish shades lasting longer and leaving subtle stains behind. They felt non-drying over time. I did not notice any scent or taste.

Kaleidos Rubino Cloud Lab Lip Clay ($12.00 for 0.08 oz.) is a darker, reddish-burgundy with soft, warm undertones and a semi-matte finish. This took longer to dry down to a matte finish that was more transfer-resistant–a full 15 minutes.

It had opaque color payoff that applied evenly but was more prone to settling into my lip lines due to the longer dry down. The texture felt smooth, velvety, and lightweight, which made it easy to spread out and apply evenly o my lips. It stayed on well for six hours and felt neither drying nor hydrating on me.
